Skills for Work: Rights and Responsibilities in the Workplace
Mae disgrifiad y cymhwyster yn Saesneg yn unig, gan ei fod wedi ei gymryd o fanyleb Saesneg CBAC.
Rights and Responsibilities in the Workplace is a 20 hour Skills for Work unit, from Entry 1 to Level 2, about employees and employers, employee rights and responsibilities, employment contracts, responsible behaviour, equality and fairness, and where to get advice about problems at work. It is one unit that learners combine with others into a Skills for Life or Skills for Work Award, Certificate or Diploma. Literacy carries the unit: learners use workplace vocabulary, explain why rights matter, read a contract, research advice organisations, discuss consequences and suggest how to raise a complaint. Numeracy is light, limited to reading pay, hours and holidays in a contract.

Reading and explaining an employment contract
Entry 3 learners state what an employment contract is, Level 1 learners outline what it is and what it should contain, and Level 2 learners explain this. The amplification lists the job, hours, pay, holidays and how to leave, and the suggested activities include discussing an example contract, with a completed tick sheet of a contract review listed as possible evidence.

Researching sources of advice and choosing the right one
Learners identify sources of support such as a manager, human resources, ACAS, Citizens Advice and trade unions, and say what each can help with. Level 1 learners give one example per source and show how to find contact details, and Level 2 learners describe at least three sources, explain what each can help with and consider which is most suitable for a given workplace scenario.
